GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE HIGHER SCHOOL" NATURAL SCIENCES AND PEDAGOGY"

The Higher School" natural sciences and pedagogy " is a structural unit of the South Kazakhstan University named after M. Auezov, which trains teachers and scientific personnel in the field of Natural Sciences and mathematics.

The Higher School begins its history in 1991, with the opening of the departments "Biology", "Mathematics and informatics", "Labor and business" at the Shymkent Pedagogical Institute of physical education and the admission of the first applicants in the specialties "Biology", "Labor and business".

In 1996, in connection with the optimization reform of universities in Kazakhstan, as a result of the merger of pedagogical specialties of the Shymkent Pedagogical Institute of physical education, the Shymkent Pedagogical Institute of culture and the International Kazakh-Turkish university named after Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, the South Kazakhstan humanitarian university named after M. Auezov was opened. On the basis of this university, the Faculty of "Natural Science and pedagogical" was created on the basis of departments for training pedagogical personnel in natural disciplines.

In 1998, in accordance with the decree of the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 256, the South Kazakhstan humanitarian University and the South Kazakhstan technical universities were merged, the South Kazakhstan State University named after M. Auezov was established, and the Faculty of "natural and pedagogical" was supplemented with scientific and natural science specialties.

At the natural and pedagogical faculty, systematic work was carried out on the transition to three-stage education. The faculty trained bachelors in 13 specialties, Masters in 12 specialties, doctoral studies in 4 specialties (training of Teachers of Mathematics, training of Teachers of Computer Science, vocational training, Mathematics and statistics) and began to train high-quality personnel. On the basis of the Higher School, in accordance with the Order of the chairman of the committee for control in the field of Education and science of the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2017, dissertation councils were opened in the specialty 6d012000-vocational training (chairman of the dissertation Council – doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor S. A. Zholdasbekova), on March 14, 2018-6d010900 – Mathematics (chairman of the dissertation council-candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor N. K. Madiyarov). Taking into account the scientific potential of the faculty and its place in three-stage education, since the 2017-2018 academic year, the Higher School of Natural Sciences and pedagogy was created on the basis of the natural and pedagogical faculty. By order of the chairman of the committee for quality assurance in the field of Science and higher education of the Ministry of Science and higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 6, 2024 No. 313, the dissertation council was opened in the specialty 8D01530 (6d011100) – computer science.

Since its foundation, the faculty has been headed by Associate Professor D. K. Poshaev, associate professor Yu.N.Kamalov, Associate Professor K. zh.Azhibekov, Professor S. P. Nazarbekova, Associate Professor A. E. Erzhepov, Associate Professor I. Orazov, Professor K. S. Nadirov, who contributed to the development of the faculty. Since 2011, the Higher School has been headed by candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Madiyarov Nurlybay Kokeshovich. N. K. Madiyarov was awarded the badge "Y. Altynsarin" for his work in the development of education and science (2015), became the owner of the title "The Best Teacher of the University" (2016).

In different years, famous scientists and leaders of Kazakhstan worked at the Higher School, in particular Kalmenov T. Sh. - rector of the South Kazakhstan Technical University, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, doctor of Ph. D., professor, major scientist in the field of theory of differential operators and their spectral properties, laureate of the state prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Medeuov E. U.-rector of SKSU named after M. Auezov, doctor of Ph. D., professor; Tashimov L. T. – president of IKTU named after K. A. Yassawi, T. D. rakhimbek – Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor – a major scientist in the field of methods of teaching mathematics; omirbayev U. U. -major scientist in the field of algebra and logic, doctor of philosophy, professor; acting Sadybekov – laureate of the state prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan, corresponding member of the NAS RK, doctor of philosophy, professor; Utelbayev B. T.-doctor of philosophy, professor; R. Oynarov – doctor of philosophy, professor; Zhumabekov L. – candidate of philosophy, professor; S. A. Atanbayev-F. – M A. taskaraev-Ph. D., Professor; A. Shaldanbayev – Ph. D., Professor; K. duisenbayev-Ph. D., professor; T. Turmanbekov – Ph. D., associate professor; B. Sydykov-Ph. D., professor, S. Kudaibergenov – Ph. D., Associate Professor, etc..

Currently, 133 teachers are engaged in scientific and pedagogical activities in the Higher School, of which 100 are in the staff. Qualified teachers and experienced specialists from the industry are involved in the educational process. Of the full-time teachers - 8 doctors of science, professors, 41 candidates of science, associate professors, 10 PhD-Doctors. The scientific potential is 59%. In the Higher School-Doctor of Ph. Student life.
The word "Student" in Latin means "an enthusiastic student, an applicant." The student period is an unforgettable time in the biography of every applicant who entered the university. Youth is filled with inexhaustible strength, passion for life, one of the most culminating stages of knowledge of science and the world.

Student life at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, the Higher School of Natural Sciences and Pedagogy includes an interesting, bright and eventful life that provides all the opportunities for professional development, self-expression in social activities, creativity and sports, and personal development! You have the opportunity not only to participate in university-level events, but also to participate in many scientific projects and Olympiads of urban, national and international scale! These are pretty limitless opportunities to choose your own life path.

Currently, 1,229 students and 115 international students study at the Higher School in 17 educational programs, for a total of 1,344 students. In order to involve students in science and creative work, 12 student scientific circles function at the Higher School. Students of the Higher School annually take prizes in subject Olympiads, scientific projects conducted among universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

As one of the mandatory parameters of the Bologna process, students are provided for the exchange of knowledge in educational institutions of the republic and educational institutions of far and near abroad in terms of academic mobility.

Research circles, clubs of cheerful resourceful people, student amateur and sports clubs contribute to the effective conduct of students' leisure activities.

Social conditions have been created as much as possible for students. Students belonging to groups with low social status, etc., studying on a fee basis, receive discounts from 10% to 100% on payment.

The latest library, an electronic reading room, a resource center, free Internet, an assembly hall, a sports hall, a doctor's office, a dining room, a modern 5-storey dormitory of the latest model, all this creates conditions for carefree learning of students. Qualified specialists from universities of the near and far abroad are invited to the university annually to teach students of Higher education.
