About teaching in groups with English language learning in 2015-2016 academic year

Training in English has been started at Natural-Pedagogical faculty in 2009. Second year students of 050602 – “Computer science” specialty began to study in English that year. In 2015-2016 academic year students of 4 educational programs are involved into training in English: 5В011100 – “Computer science”, 5В010900 – “Mathematics”, 5В011000 – “Physics”, 5В011200 – “Chemistry”. Student selection into special groups is performed on the basis of test results at the beginning of the academic year.
For educational process staffing 11 teachers possessing intermediate English language level are engaged in teaching in English. They completed English language course or have teaching experience in English as well as have English language basic higher education. To improve English level the lecturers go on their training in the University language development center.
Students of English groups demonstrate high educational rating. All students have educational grants and pass exams with good and excellent marks. Most students of English groups of 2-3 courses are engaged in research work are regular participants and winners of student scientific conferences.
At present 40 students of faculty study in special English groups; 27 disciplines are taught in English, and most of them are special ones. All disciplines taught in English are provided with educational-methodical complexes containing required information for student training. There are English textbooks in an Educational-information center for most special educational disciplines. For complete methodical provision of all the disciplines the lecturers are permanently engaged in redaction of study guides and methodical instructions for all forms of classes. The faculty lecturers edited 50 namings of training literature more than for the last three years.
